Liam Lawson has continued his F1 points streak, claiming eighth position in a drama-filled Spanish Grand Prix.
The Kiwi star finished one position ahead of Arvin Lindblad, his Racing Bulls team mate, meaning it was another double points weekend.
While Lawson crossed the finish line in ninth, a yellow flag penalty for Colapinto dropped him from eighth to tenth, meaning Lawson gained an extra position.
“It’s great we finished in the points, but if the top guys had finished, we wouldn’t have,” Lawson said post-race.
“We got knocked out by the Alpine’s, they were quicker than us. It’s something for us to review.
“We had a good car yesterday, and struggled more today.”
Further towards the front of the pack, Lewis Hamilton managed to edge out George Russell for his first victory of 2026.
Russell and Lando Norris rounded out the Spanish podium.
Tragedy struck for Kimi Antonelli near the end of the Grand Prix, as a mechanical failure forced an early retirement as he was running in second.
Not only does this break his record-setting winning streak, but it also makes for Antonelli’s first DNF of the season.
