Double-digit growth for the third successive year has seen Audi New Zealand deliver record-breaking sales, echoing Audi’s continuing worldwide sales increase.

Locally Audi is experiencing 14% growth year on year, mirroring the strong local economy, while international sales figures show a 10.1% increase in vehicle deliveries since January this year.

To celebrate reaching this year’s milestone, Audi has identified the owner of the 2,000th vehicle sold in New Zealand and will be presenting the lucky customer with two places on the sought after “Audi driving experience” at Hampton Downs racetrack in 2015.

Audi general manager Dean Sheed commented: “The growth we’ve experienced this year has been across the range, from the A1 through to the R8 Supercar and everything in between.

“We’ve had the pleasure of launching a host of new models this year: the sporty and sleek RS 7; the RS Q3, our first RS ‘Q’ car; the compact A3 and S3 sedans (with the A3 Sedan winning the Women’s World Car of the Year ‘Family Car’ award); the S3 Sportback (winner of the Women’s World Car of the Year ‘Sports Car’ award) and the S1 pocket-rocket which is brim-full of Audi’s rallying DNA.

“In addition, we’ve held a special preview of Audi’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, the A3 e-tron. Judging by the numbers, both current and new to Audi customers are finding the newly extended range has just the vehicle to meet their needs.”

Of the new Audis sold in New Zealand this year, approximately 65% of them feature the iconic quattro all-wheel drive system.

Sheed added: “We look forward to welcoming even more customers to the Audi family in what promises to be an exciting 2015.”
