Following some intense competition, the team from Archibalds Audi in Christchurch will head to Albufeira, Portugal, to represent New Zealand at the Audi Twin Cup World Championships in September.
The final assessments, held at Audi New Zealand headquarters in Auckland, brought together the top technical and service experts from around New Zealand.
The finalists competed in a series of rigorous, timed tests, processes and workmanship to best demonstrate their expertise in theory and practice. The tests incorporated written, verbal and practical assessments, including diagnosing faults, finding optimum solutions and demonstrating excellent personal skills when interacting with customers.
Former Audi Twin Cup first place winner and Archibalds employee, Craig Grange, once again placed first in the Service category this year. Jeremy Rowe, also of Archibalds, placed first in the Technical category.
Apprentices were also given the opportunity to put their skills to the test, with Christopher Boulton also from Archibalds Audi in Christchurch, coming in first place as the Apprentice of the Year.
Mr Grange, from Archibalds says, “Aftersales competitions such as the Twin cup are so important for championing top service both in the workshop and at the service counter. Added to this is the opportunity to represent New Zealand internationally meaning that we can upskill even further to provide the best service possible to our customers.”
Greg Fleming, Audi New Zealand says, “The Audi Twin Cup is a fantastic opportunity for staff to put their skills to the test. The results were very close across all categories, demonstrating the consistent and high level of abilities from all participants.
“A big congratulations to Archibalds Audi who took out first place in both the Service and Technical categories, and also to all other finalists. We wish our New Zealand team the best of luck at the international finals in Portugal.”
Team Audi New Zealand will compete with their equivalents from approximately 40 countries in the international final.
