Aston Martin is the coolest automotive brand for 2009, according to a ranking by CoolBrands.
Overall, the British automaker fell to number two from last year, when it was judged the coolest brand overall.
This year, though, the iPhone beat Aston Martin for the top spot while Apple and iPod took third and fourth places, respectively.
Elsewhere on the Top 20 CoolBrands 2009/10 list, Ferrari is in 15th position on the list of 500 brands, but down from 13th position last year. Mini – in 17th place – is a newcomer to the Top 20 list. Lamborghini has slipped from the list entirely after ranking 20th last year.
The results were judged by a panel of 33 British experts as well as more than 2500 members of the public. Voters are asked to consider the following six factors: Style, Innovation, Originality, Authenticity, Desirability, and Uniqueness.
