The compact Citroën DS4 is a four-door hatchback with a “coupe-like” roofline. It offers three full rear seats and a practical 370-litre boot.
It is the second model in the DS line, following the DS3 which arrives in New Zealand next month. Compared to the C4 on which it is based, the DS$ is 60mm shorter, 40mm taller and 20mm wider.
Whn it goes on sale in late 2011, the DS4 will offer two HDi diesel engines and three petrol powerplants, all co-developed with BMW. The top of the line petrol engine is a turbo-charged 1.6-litre that reportedly puts out 200hp.
All engines are available with manual or Electronic Gearbox System (EGS) six-speed gearboxes.
Inside there is lots of chrome and leather, a panoramic windshield, and a “driver-orientated cockpit”.
The DS4 will make its world debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show in late September.
