We all know the old experiment – pop a Montos lolly into a bottle of coke and the brown stuff will come spurting out with force.

But could this duo be a fuel for the future?

Fritz Grobe and Stephen Voltz used a bike and trailer powered by a piston mechanism using hundreds of Mentos and Coke Zero bottles to test the theory.

The machine travelled 221 feet, or just over 67 metres…so probably not a likely fuel alternative.
