CRC Speedshow celebrates Kiwi made cars

At the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland from 16-17 July, New Zealand Made will celebrate all things ‘Kiwi’ and will feature approximately 15 vehicles and motorcycles.

The idea for New Zealand Made was sparked by the event’s previous special displays, like the Total Oils Kiwi Young Guns and Century Batteries Women in Motorsport which paid homage to drivers and riders, though show organisers decided it was time to celebrate the cars and bikes which have become part of New Zealand’s rich motoring history.

Ross Prevette, CRC Speedshow managing director, said: “We are really excited for this display and thought it was time to recognise the cars and motorcycles which have become part of our motoring DNA here in New Zealand. The display will have a great mix of vehicles and will have brands everyone recognises, along with some more lesser-known ones.”

“We’re also proud to welcome Buy New Zealand Made as a sponsor for the display, who will be bringing a multitude of New Zealand companies like Aegis Oil, the only New Zealand blending and packaging company for oil products and E-Mazing with their Dirt-Off cleaning products for off road vehicles, so it’s going to be a totally unique display. We simply can’t wait.”

Trina Snow, Buy Made in New Zealand manager, said: “It made complete sense to attend the CRC Speedshow and we’re honoured to be involved. A lot of companies here in New Zealand make, manufacture and sell automotive products and what better place to showcase them than at New Zealand’s largest automotive and motorsport show.

“We will be joined by racing icons like Paul Radisich and will also have a very exciting announcement to make at the show which we’re sure everyone will love.”

The New Zealand Made display will feature in the show’s biggest hall, Hall 3, and will also include a handful of New Zealand companies operating in the automotive market.
