The Smart scooter will have a futuristic design and reportedly be powered by a lithium-ion battery which will enable it to travel up to 96km on a single charge.
It is also rumoured to use a specially adapted airbag to provide protection for the rider in the case of an accident.
Mini will display three retro-inspired scooters featuring yellow accents (borrowed from the Mini E car), a lithium-ion battery stored under the seat, and a retractable charging cord.
Called the Mini E Scooter Concept, the bike features scaled down versions of all the classic Mini design cues, including the large speedometer, oval wing mirrors and squared off rear lights.
Both designs depend on consumer interest as to whether they go into production. We’ll keep you posted!
