The HSV-010 (short for Honda Sports Velocity) racer will be competing against the likes of the Nissan GT-R GT500.

Honda said no performance figures have been verified, but the beast features a 3.4-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine reportedly developing at least 500bhp and 290lb/ft of pulling power.

It has a kerb weight of 1100kg.

The Honda GT racer is built on unique platform and features a sequential six-speed box with steering wheel mounted paddles sending power to the rear-wheels.
