Lexus will showcase its all-new RX 450h crossover wagon at next month’s Geneva motor show in Switzerland.
It says it has revised significantly the vehicle’s hybrid powertrain to deliver substantially lower carbon dioxide emissions, which it says are well below the figures achieved by the current best-performing diesels.
It will also be more fuel efficient and more powerful than its predecessor, the RX 400h.
The RX 450h, the third generation of the RX, has a raft of equipment improvemets.
Lexus will also show the IS 250C convertible at Geneva. The car has an all-aluminium folding roof that can be lowered in 20 seconds.
It runs the 2.5-litre V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission from the IS 250 sports sedan.
