The i40 sedan will be the latest model to be unveiled under Hyundai’s new brand slogan – ‘New Thinking. New Possibilities.’
Hyundai says the i40 sedan “boasts a purely European identity”, designed at its headquarters in Germany, and featuring flowing lines with a modern touch and sophisticated wing-like detail.
Just like the wagon version, a 1.7-litre turbodiesel with 113hp or 134hp is expected to be offered at launch, alongside a 1.6-litre petrol unit with 138hp. Shortly after launch, 2.0-litre petrol and diesel units will be offered.
An ultra-efficient version of the 113hp diesel with 65.7mpg and 113g/km will be offered soon after launch, badged Blue Drive.
