It will get muscular body styling, including air dams and skirts and will be aimed at keen drivers who want a no-compromises sports sedan.

British magazine Autocar says details of the XFR-S’s specification are “sketchy, but it may well be the first Jaguar to adopt standard 21-inch wheels. It will have deeper side skirts than the XFR (due to debut at the Detroit motor show this week) and will sit lower.”

Autocar says the new sports sedan is likely to use the XFR’s engine package which it says is understood to deliver “more than abundant” power.
