One of the world’s fastest production cars, the Koenigsegg CCX will feature at this year’s Big Boys Toys on 14-16 November at the ASB SHowgrounds in Greenlane, Auckland.
The car has a 4.7-litre twin V8 engine that generates 806hp. It has a top speed of 414kmh and an acceleration of 0-100 in 2.9 seconds.
Its advanced braking system makes it capable of accelerating from 0-300kmh and back to zero in a blistering 29.2 seconds.
That extreme performance is matched with a price-tag of approximately NZ$2.3 million, making it the most expensive production motor vehicle ever to arrive on our shores.
Also on show at Big Boys Toys will be the new Nissan GT-R Supercar. With a 3799cc twin turbocharged 24-valve V6, reaching 0-100 in 3.5 sec and a maximum speed of 320 kmh. Nissan New Zealand plans to have this vehicle on sale early 2009.
