Lexus of Auckland City has opened a brand-new showroom in Newmarket.
Designed with a strong focus on customer experience, the Giltrap Group chose a fresh approach, moving away from the traditional car yard and sales office format. Instead, every element, from the customer lounge to vehicle displays and offices, is located indoors for greater convenience and comfort. Even customer parking is within the new building.
Visitors can browse Lexus models, relax in the café-style lounge, and take delivery of their new vehicle, all on the first floor.
Sharlene Van Dijk, Chief Executive Officer of Lexus of Auckland City, describes the new showroom at 21 Great South Road as an “iconic building” that is now proudly home to the Lexus brand.
“We had outgrown our previous site in Grey Lynn, and our belief in Lexus and its potential for growth gave us the confidence to invest in this new, customer-focused facility.”

The spacious new dealership spans 2,800 square metres and is fully enclosed, with space for at least 48 Lexus vehicles and EV charging for six. A dedicated team of 34 staff members is on hand to assist customers.
“As Lexus continues to expand its lineup of luxury electrified vehicles, such as the all-electric RZ and hybrid LBX, we are committed to catering to environmentally conscious consumers without compromising on performance, luxury, or design,” Van Dijk says.
With the Newmarket location’s opening on 1st November, the former Great North Road site has closed. Lexus customers are now encouraged to visit the Newmarket showroom or call to book vehicle services.
Guests at the new dealership can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, and service customers can choose between a courtesy loan vehicle, an Uber voucher, or a drop-off service.
