Scoring 845 points on a 1000 point scale, Toyota’s luxury arm ranked 51 points higher than the industry average, and 12 points ahead of second place winner, Honda.
The results are tallied from online interviews with new car owners, the average vehicle age being two years. This year’s study surveyed the opinions of 16,840 participants.
At the model level, Honda took home two awards for the Accord (upper medium car) and Jazz (small car).
Other category winners include the BMW 5 Series which tied with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class in the executive luxury car division; Lexus IS (compact executive car); Skoda Octavia (lower medium car); Citroen C3 Picasso (MPV) and Toyota Aygo (city car).
The survey results also showed that vehicle ownership satisfaction has increased in the past 12 months, particularly in the MPV segment.
