The Mini John Cooper F1 will be a British Racing Green non-metallic colour, and lined with two white-edged black stripes and white side mirrors and roof.
Mini will likely debut the model at the Mini United event at Silverstone, in the US, in May.
A very limited production run of between 50 and 100 F1s is expected so it is definitely a special edition.
