World champion Sebastien Loeb has won Repco Rally New Zealand which has just finished at Mystery Creek near Hamilton.

Ford’s Mikko Hirvonen set a faster time than the Citroen driver on the super-special at the agricultural showgrounds.

But Hirvonen had lost more than 25 seconds to the Frenchman with a spin on the second-to-last stage, near Raglan.

That had cost him the rally lead, and Loeb went to the final test at Mystery Creek 41.8 seconds ahead.

More from Rally NZ as the afternoon progresses.
