This will be the first time the Big Boys Toys franchise has visited the Manawatu and with a lineup of attractions including local FMX hero Levi Sherwood, the amazing levitating Hendo Hoverboard, supercars including the Bond-edition Aston Martin DB9 GT – plus all the latest products from the automotive, marine, lifestyle and electronics industries.
It will also be the first time freestyle motocross superstar Levi Sherwood has entertained in his home town for five years, performing the huge stunts that made him world famous – indoors at the Milwaukee Action Arena – along with top FMX riders Kiwi Nick Franklin and Mitch McHardy, BMX champ Paul Langlands and a group of amazing BMX riders.
Event director Dean Wilson says that having this caliber of stunt riders performing indoors is a dream come true.
“At Big Boys Toys in Auckland we have to compete with wind and weather and noise control – but the Manawatu venue gives Levi, Nick and Paul the opportunity to pull off the biggest tricks in their repertoire, the very same tricks that make them YouTube sensations around the world. I can’t wait to see it myself,” he said.
But that’s only the top of the list on show, with the 2015 458 Ferrari GT Speciali, 2014 Lamborghini Aventador, the 2015 Mustang convertible and a lineup of amazing cars from Southward’s Car Museum, including the iconic stock-car ‘The Tank’ which is part of Te Manawa’s “Dust Devils” display.
The show will also be a mecca for motorcycle lovers with the latest of two wheels from Can-Am, Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, KTM and Suzuki.
Meanwhile, Manawatu fans of Back to the Future will be able to see a demo of the ONLY Hendo Hoverboard outside the USA (one of only 11 in the world) and get up close to a perfect replica DeLorean Time Machine.
