Cigarette Racing has unveiled a new speed boat inspired by the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
Dubbed the 46′ Rider, the boat has “manufacturing expertise and materials” from AMG.
The boat features a two-tone exterior (AMG silver and AMG Designo Mystic White metallic) and a luxurious cabin with “marine-grade upholstery that resembles the two-tone AMG Designo porcelain and white Nappa leather offered on the SLS AMG”.
Power comes from two twin-turbocharged 9.0-litre Mercury Racing engines with 1350hp. The quad-cam V8s are port-fuel-injected and use water-cooled turbos on each cylinder bank. Top speed is estimated at 210kph.
Cigarette, founded by legendary ocean racer Don Aronow, has won numerous American Powerboat Association and world Offshore powerboat titles and owns several speed records, while AMG started as a company that raced Mercedes-Benz cars before moving into tuning in the 1970s.
