The Mercedes G-Wagon Light Armoured Patrol Vehicle 6.X Concept has been launched at the Eurosatory exposition in Paris, a conference for defence professionals.

It can carry longer and heavier cargo than its LAPV 5.4 predecessor, and can reach 150kph carrying up to 1300kg of cargo.

With its armour-plated design the LAPV 6X can go over just about any terrain. Damaged panels can be changed easily, and more armour added for extra protection in warzones. Extra land mine protection can be added underneath, too.

It features adjustable air spring suspension, allowing for up to 450mm of additional ground clearance, and ventilated brake discs for improved performance over rough terrain.

Military technology includes communication and jamming systems, as well as an on-board data recorder.

I’d say the orange wheels can be swapped out for more covert missions…
