Mercedes has announced that the Shooting Break will appear at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show.
The Shooting Break is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine producing 225kW (306hp) and 370Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz has yet to offer full details on the new engine, except to confirm that it is a ‘forerunner’ to its new-generation V-engine.
The new four-door coupe concept has been touted as the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS, competition for the BMW 5 Series GT, Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera.
It features a long hood, bulbous rear wheel arches, large air intakes, SLS AMG-styled radiator grille and a swooping roofline.
The headlights are made from 71 LED bulbs that give the driver five different settings to choose from, depending on the conditions.
Inside the car uses cream and brown leather, and a large glass roof gives a feeling of spaciousness.
Stay tuned for the full reveal in coming weeks…
