Mitsubishi will take the wraps off its Lancer Sportback at the Paris Motor Show in France this October. It will also show Ralliart versions of the Lancer sedan and Sportback.
The Ralliart models are powered by a turbocharged engine mated to Mitsubishi’s Twin Clutch SST (Sport Shift Transmission) and have all-wheel drive with an active centre differential.
The Sportback is a five-door hatchback, a body style that is very popular in Europe. Mitsubishi is building it with 1.5-litre, 109 horsepower, and 1.8-litre, 143 horsepower petrol engines and a 2.0-litre, 140 horsepower, turbodiesel. The car has an “auto-folding function” which enhances luggage compartment convenience through adjustable rear floor height and rear seatbacks that can be tipped forward using a lever located in the luggage compartment.
The two Ralliart models use a new turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder DOHC MIVEC3 engine developing 177kW and 343Nm. The cars have two-pot caliper front brakes and a larger brake master cylinder.
