The Aston Martin Virage sits between the DB9 and DBS models, combining elegance and luxury with sporty performance.

The front mid-mounted 6.0-litre V12 engine produces 490hp (365kW) and 570Nm (420 lb. Ft) of torque, and through its carbon fibre prop shaft, is mated to a six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission mounted on the transaxle.

Aston Martin says the Virage will accelerate from 0 to 100kmh in 4.6 seconds, maxxing out at 299kmh.

The Virage’s dynamics have been tuned with a newly developed Adaptive Damping System (ADS) that reportedly “reads” the road to adapt to different conditions. The system now selects up to five different stiffness settings within normal mode, and a further five stiffer settings within sport mode.

Aiding driver control, a ‘Sport’ button allows the driver to select a sharper throttle response and faster gear changes while holding the gears without automatically shifting up at the revolution limiter.

Virage will be delivered with lightweight Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes as standard.

The two-door bonded aluminium Virage sits low and wide, and the body features single bi-xenon headlamps, a new aluminium metal front grille, and distinguishing front wings.

Aston Martin says that in all, over 200 man hours will be spent handcrafting the Virage at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, England.
