Due to go on sale next year, the second generation Citroen C4 is a hot little hatch designed to take on the likes of the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf.
The new version features a roof-mounted spoiler, modernised lights at the rear, 408 litres of cargo capacity, and an eTouch system that monitors fuel consumption and driving habits. Massaging front seats, a blind-spot monitoring system, and a panoramic sunroof are optional extras.
The usual turbocharged petrol and HDi diesel engines are expected, but with the addition of a C4 Hybrid with a 1.6-litre e-HDi diesel engine. The hybrid will reportedly feature regenerative braking, an engine stop/start system, and low-rolling resistance tyres.
Measuring 50mm longer than its predecessor, the new C4 is 4330mm long, 1790mm wide (up 20mm) and 1490mm tall (up 30mm).
More details will be released when the C4 is officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.
