New Lancer set for Japan

Mitsubishi has introduced a new GSR Premium edition to its 2009 Lancer Evolution X line-up, bound for the Japanese market.

Distinguishing the new car are 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, body-coloured vents, custom side sills, a revised instrument panel and new door sills. Performance upgrades are Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs, as well as new Brembo sport pads.

Inside, the GSR Premium model gets a pair of Recaro leather seats as standard, a nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate stereo system, side and curtain airbags and a 30GB hard-drive and sat-nav system.

The Japanese launch is scheduled for the end of this month.
