Taking style inspiration from its popular predecessor, the new Mercedes-Benz CLS is a sporty and luxurious coupe.

The long bonnet, narrow-look windows and sweeping roof remain, but the front design looks more like that of an SLS AMG – the radiator grille is seperate from the bonnet, has dark air inlets, and is dominated by a central star.

The flared wheel arches and broad sporty shoulder lines make it look much more muscular.

Mercedes says another distinguishing feature is the 71 LED lights on the car.

Inside, the cockpit is wrap-around – sweeping from the driver’s door over the instrument panel and across to the passenger door. It’ll certainly look and feel luxurious, with satin and high-gloss finishes, matt galvanised air vents, and handcrafted stitching on the seat covers and dashboard.

Five interior colours, five trim designs and three qualities of leather are available to choose from.

Engine options have not yet been revealed.
