Porsche has released teaser images of its upcoming Panamera Gran Turismo, a four-door sports coupe.
Its publicity campaign includes the Panamera Online Magazine (www.porsche.com/panamera) which features a range of information about the latest addition to the Porsche family – videos, spy photos, facts, podcasts, and even a song dedicated to the Panamera!
According to Porsche, the Panamera concept is “a new definition of the 4-door, 4-seat theme. The Panamera offers ample interior accommodation, and at the same time the dynamic look of a sports car. Its bodywork is low and wide.”
it has been reported the super-saloon will be powered by a 4.8-litre V8 in naturally aspirated 400bhp and turbocharged 500bhp forms; a smaller 3.6 V6 arrives in 2010 and a hybrid in 2011. All will be rear-wheel drive at launch, although higher-powered versions will gain 4WD later.
Porsche says the Panamera’s official debut is scheduled for next spring (most likely the Geneva Motor Show in March), with sales to commence in late summer or early fall of 2009.
