New Zealand Rally Experience

Your experience: NZRE offers the chance to jump in the passenger seat of 350HP group N spec rally car with our professional driver James Perry for a hot lap of TECT All Terrain Park. Experience the thrill of 0-100kms in less that 4 seconds as you drift and slide around the purpose built track through classic New Zealand forests as the world rally championship drivers do. Our Subaru is equipped with full safety cage, 4 point harness, fire system as well as your fireproof overalls and helmet all meeting or exceeding international FIA safety standards.

Brought to you by: Nick Franklin is one of New Zealand’s pioneers of freestyle moto X and has been riding professionally at an international level for over 10 years on tours throughout the world including Nitro Circus Live, the Crusty Tour and Red Bull X fighters. He has teamed up with James who drove for Subaru Australia to create NZRE, and give Kiwis and tourists visiting a new thrill. When James drove in Australia the Subaru team was funded by a similar venture on the Gold Coast where people came to get an adrenaline rush and he returned to NZ with a dream to offer the same here. Our original goal was to set up the business close to Taupo on a private block of land, but this was difficult to organise as a safe area with possible rally facilities are a rare find. The opportunity with TECT came up which has the perfect facilities although high overhead costs for a new small business it is a great place to start.

Our Goal: We provide a full service where people book, then just turn up and enjoy. Every drive will take people as far as they are comfortable to go, everyone has a different comfort zone and we aim to push their boundaries while making sure they still enjoy their experience. We will become part of the industry attracting tourists both from Rotorua and from the flourishing cruise liner market stopping in Tauranga as TECT is half way between the two cities. But we want to start by getting Kiwis into the car for the extreme experience that New Zealand is famous for.

Pricing and bookings: Our prices are more than competitive with any similar driving operations in NZ @$150.

While the company is in its infancy we will be operating on Saturdays via bookings only. Provided the facility is available we can be open other days, also via bookings. We will also cater for company corporate days and group bookings where we can be flexible with open days as well as offering gift certificates for the thoughtful.
