Apple has just released in their WWDC event that the next generation of Apple Carplay is here and it doesn’t disappoint. The software basically turns your car into an iphone.

With Apple’s statistics stating that 79 percent of car buyers consider Apple Carplay before buying a car, it’s fair to say that it’s worth putting the investment into the software on Apple’s end and car manufacturers themselves.

Apple carplay now interacts with multiple screens around vehicles including the dashboard controls as well as all infotainment screens. As new cars come out with more and more screens it’s good to have software that is compatible with these newer cars.

A few manufacturers including Ford, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, Honda, Acura, Jaguar, Land Rover, Audi, Nissan, Volvo, Porsche, and more, have committed to apple carplay and for good reason. The new software will enable users to customise their cars by connecting directly to their phones, this means maps, music and other features will be directly linked to the screens dashboard and infotainment units.

Apple is releasing more information about apple carplay soon.
