Paul Radisich showed his class by snatching pole position for this afternoon’s first Truth NZ V8s race at Ruapuna, near Christchurch, today.
Radisich put the Ford Falcon on the prime grid spot with a smoking lap of 1m 30.320s in the closing stages of the top 10m shootout, nudging fellow Ford racer Kayne Scott from pole.
Scott was 0.251 second slower than Radisich.
Angus Fogg completed a Falcon sweep of the top starting positions, with 1m 30.660s in his Caltex car.
Then came series leader John McIntyre, Cameron McLean and David Besnard, all in Falcons.
Paul Manuell was the fast Holden Commodore driver, seven with 1m 31.251s.
Ford drivers Luke Youlden and Mark Pedersen and second on points Andy Booth (Commodore completed the top 10.
