In an official statement from Stuttgart, Porsche has confirmed its new small SUV will go into production, under the name “Cajun”.
Porche says the Cajun will be built with “typical Porsche features such as light weight, ease of handling and agility”.
Rumours suggest it will utilise Audi’s Q5 platform and Quattro all-wheel drive system.
The entry level model is aimed at attracting younger customers to the premium brand, and will surely help towards reaching Porsche’s goal of selling 150,000 vehicles annually by 2013..
