With an 80 litre fuel tank, Porsche says the range on the four-door Panamera Diesel is around 1200km.
The 3.0-litre V6 on the Panamera Diesel produces 184kW (247hp) and 550Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque that is good for a fuel-economy rating of 6.5L/100km (172g/km CO²), which is better than the faster S Hybrid model.
Only available with rear-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard, the newcomer is capable of 0-100kph in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 242kph.
Standard kit includes leather upholstery, adjustable suspension and touch-screen sat-nav.
The Porsche Panamera Diesel is due to go on sale in New Zealand in September 2011.
