The luxury Daimler Majestic V8 Jaguar, used by the Queen between 2001-2004, includes some very special features such as a handbag holder and corgi-friendly fittings. In its day it also had emergency convoy lights and a direct radio link to the Prime Minister.

The car had special covers for the magazine holders next to the seats, to prevent her pet corgis from slipping off the calf-skin seat covers and falling into them, The Independent reported.

The Daimler Majestic V8 Jaguar has just 14,000 miles on the clock and includes the original royal number plate V8 LWB.

“It’s a truly unique vehicle,” Peter Ratcliffe, a specialist dealer who bought the car from Jaguar, told The Independent.

“There is nothing else out there, or ever going to be out there, that you can buy and say this was the personal car of the Queen of England, specially built for her,” he added.

The car is offered via a dedicated website, www.hmthequeensdaimler.com with a list price of £65,000 (NZ$138,000).
