Hyundai was the first manufacturer in New Zealand to introduce Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard equipment on all its vehicles as long ago as 2007.

Now the company is leading the way again by making reversing cameras standard across its range of 13 models of passenger car and commercial vans in the New Zealand market.

Hyundai New Zealand general manager Andy Sinclair commented: “Our customers have told us that a reversing camera is one of the most useful features in a new vehicle. Adding reversing cameras as standard across our range will continue the high level of standard specification in all Hyundai models sold in New Zealand.

“It makes it easier to reverse your vehicle in tight parking situations, particularly in inner city parking buildings and shopping malls. It also simplifies hitching a trailer onto your vehicle’s tow ball.”

Hyundai has been in New Zealand for over 31 years. The company is currently ranked third in passenger vehicle sales (9.13% market share) and fourth in total vehicle sales (7.03% market share) in the year to date.

Hyundai is also the number-one selling diesel passenger vehicle brand for the last eight years, with the Santa Fe holding the number one spot for diesel passenger vehicle sales in 2013.
