The seven-seater MPV has new-design bumpers, grille, front air dam, fenders, 17-inch alloy wheels and integrated roof rails. It also has parking sensors.
Interior changes include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever and an AM/FM radio with MP3 CD player and six speakers. Heavily tinted privacy glass is standard, and the dual sunroofs create a light airy feel. The front sunroof has a manual opening and the centre unit has power slide.
The Grandis has front, side and curtain airbags and three-point seatbelt for all occupants. The belts in the centre of each of the two rear rows are fitted with an emergency locking retractors.
Sports-tuned suspension improves the handling, and the car is powered by a 121kW, 2.4-litre MIVEC Euro 3 engine coupled to a four-speed sport mode transmission.
Fitting 17-inch alloy wheels gives the Grandis VRX ground clearance of 170mm, 15mm more than the standard LS model.
The new Grandis VRX is priced at $43,990 while the standard LS is available at $37,990.
