Subaru revises Legacy range

The new range-leading Legacy 2.5i is now available at the same price as the outgoing Legacy 2.0R, starting at $37,990 for a manual sedan or wagon and $39,990 for the automatic option. All 2.5-litre Legacys now have a 127kW four-cylinder boxer engine with 226Nm of torque. In the revised line-up, the 2.5i Luxury models with leather upholstery, a sunroof and electrically adjustable driver’s seat are now priced at $40,990 and $42,990 for the manual and automatic.

Further up the range, the Legacy 3.0R B Spec and the Legacy GT Spec.B are all $54,990 irrespective of whether they have the five-speed automatic gearbox or six-speed manual. All Legacys come with full-time All-Wheel Drive, six airbags, VDC (electronic stability control) on the normally aspirated automatic models, ABS brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, six-stack in-dash CD players, climate air conditioning, twin exhausts, cruise control, front fog lights, auto headlights off and alloy wheels.
