Top Gear caught filming on volcano

And that volcano is reported to be Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano, which has been disrupting travel all over the world with its huge plume of ash.

Reportedly just a few hours before the skies filled with ash, scientists set up monitoring equipment with a Toyota Hilux – the same Hilux featured on the Arctic special of  Top Gear.

The Top Gear crew was also reportedly at the volcano, filming part of an upcoming episode for it’s 15th season.

The diesel-powered Hilux was heavily modified to cope with the cold climate, running 38-inch tyres and large fuel tanks.
