Based on the diesel-engine ZL model with manual transmission, just 100 units have been produced with nearly $3000 worth of interior and exterior enhancements.
This special model features a black front lip spoiler, large body coloured rear spoiler, reversing camera and an upgraded audio system with a TomTom Satellite Navigation System.
Toyota says the TomTom unit combines positioning, portability, entertainment and communication into one system.
“By combining GPS information and the vehicle’s speed sensor, dependable positioning is available even in tunnels. Ejecting the touch-screen navigation system from the audio cradle gives you a fully portable navigation system for exploring on foot or for use in another vehicle.”
The audio unit features an AM/FM radio, single disc MP3/WMA compatible CD player with 3.5mm auxiliary input jack, USB input jack and Bluetooth handsfree phone capability.
As a bonus, when reverse gear is engaged, a clear view of the area surrounding the rear of the vehicle is displayed on the TFT screen.
This special edition Hiace is powered by an 80kW and 286Nm 3.0L turbo charged common rail diesel engine with a five-speed manual transmission.
The special edition model is available only in White with an RRP of $42,500.
