Volkswagen unveiled the Bulli Concept on the eve of the Geneva auto show.
The Bulli seats six in a 3+3 configuration. It measures 3.99m in length, 1.75m in width and 1.70m in height.
Power is supplied by a 40kWh lithium-ion battery feeding an 85kW electric motor (113hp) that produces 260Nm of torque (192 lb-ft). The range is 300km. The “sprint” from 0 to 100 kmh will take 11.5 seconds, andtop speed is electronically limited to 140kmh.
Volkswagen says the concept would also suit 1.0 or 1.4-litre petrol and turbodiesel engines.
The concept is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels and chrome hubcaps.
Inside you’ll find a removable iPad which serves as the multi-function infotainment system. There’s a rotary switch on the dash to engage the forward and reverse gears.
