VW launches new site to promote diesels

Aimed at car buyers in the US who usually think diesel is best left to trucks and trains, Volkswagen wants to show that the reality of today’s diesel powered cars is very different.

The new site focuses on racing accomplishments, green credentials, tax credits and comparitive benefits of the TDI over hybrids, even filming a Jetta TDI racing a Toyota Prius.

Other videos on the site use a coffee filter to show how clean the TDI diesel is, a speed test, and a frozen VW Golf.
