Want to try your hand at extreme winter driving?

The six-night package will let guests feel the buzz of driving on the most challenging surface – snow and ice packed roads, under the careful eye of professionals.

Luxury accommodation provider, Release: Private Retreat teamed up with the Southern Hemisphere Proving Ground, the winter vehicle testing facility situated high on the Pisa Range above Lake Wanaka, to create the package.

The training focuses on advancing driving capabilities and testing skills on the thrilling snow-packed autocross course behind the wheel of a European car. The next stage refines newly learned skills to take on the advanced snow flat, ice handling track surfaces and exercises.

The “Experience Winter Driving” package also includes a personal in-house chef for a night to savour the finest New Zealand cuisine. Other activities available while staying at Release include skiing or snowboarding at Lake Wanaka’s four ski resorts or heliskiing in the spectacular Southern Alps.
