Watch: Lego’s first full-size, fully functional car is a brilliant April Fool’s gag

As a brand that’s known as the world’s largest tyre manufacturer, Lego is no stranger to cars. 

It has built millions of small ones, a few full-size ones, but never one that functions as a real-life car. 

Just a couple of days ago, Lego posted a video to its social media channels, debuting ‘Lego Auto’; the brand’s first proper car. 

With brick separators for door handles, and Lego heads as puddle lights, it looks like a feasible proposition. 

There’s also a frog gear selector and a duck hood ornament as a nod to the brand’s first toy.
