Nissan has announced it will be displaying a Z Nismo with the highly anticipated six-speed manual transmission at Tokyo Auto Salon in 2026.
The brand will reportedly display a range of Nismo offerings, including a prototype that the world is yet to see.

Despite offering the regular Z with a manual transmission from launch, the Nismo was exclusively sold with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Nissan executives also spoke about how the high-performance model would eventually get a manual, and it seems that day is almost here.
In standard form, the Z makes use of a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6, which makes 298kW and 475Nm of torque.
In Nismo trim, these numbers are upped to 309kW and 520Nm of torque.
As well as upping the grunt, the Nismo also benefits from a range of exterior changes, including a new front bumper, side skirts, and extended spoiler.

On the inside, a pair of Recaro sets are finished in alcantara-accented leather, and the screens use Nismo-specific graphics.
Nissan has shown images of the cabin with its new transmission, but the rest of the vehicle looks to be untouched.
According to the brand, this manual-equipped Z Nismo will be targeted at “customers looking for a heightened driving experience”.
The Tokyo Auto Salon will take place from January 9 to 11 2026.
