LG to unveil AI Cabin Platform at CES 2026

Words: Andrew Sluys

LG Electronics has announced plans to debut its new AI Cabin Platform at the CES trade show in January 2026.

The technology will be showcased at a private event where guests are able to experience a digital cockpit featuring the AI Cabin Platform.

Powered by generative AI, the software makes use of vision language models (VLMs), large language models (LLMs) and image generation models to provide driving information in real time.

This information is paired with LG’s infotainment system, which is used to alert the driver to changing road and traffic conditions.

A set of exterior and internal cameras are used to assess risks and personal assistance as events are playing out.

It’s also able to make suggestions based on the conditions for entertainment purposes, such as  suggesting; “it’’s a beautiful snowy night. Shall I recommend some winter-themed songs?”

CES is set to take place in Las Vegas from January 6-9 2026.
