Topping the pile is the GR Sport variant that features a 2.0-litre hybrid all-wheel drive powertrain making 145kW. It’ll also come with 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels, distinct badging, and a synthetic leather and suede-clad interior.

Pricing for the GR Sport starts at $55,990, while the two-tone variant is available for $56,990.

All variants will come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense which now features motorcycle detection, a driver monitor camera, and more.

“The C-HR has drawn a tremendously loyal following among New Zealand buyers looking for a sharply styled compact SUV and this all-new model takes its dynamic good looks, performance, and features to a premium level befitting its European origins,” says Steve Prangnell, Toyota New Zealand Vice President of New Vehicles.

The first shipment of Toyota C-HR hybrids is expected to arrive in the country in the first quarter of 2024.
