Nothing says American Independence like a VelociRaptor 1200 F-250

Words: Kyle Cassidy

Texas-based performance specialist Hennessey has revealed a new limited-edition truck to mark the United States’ 250th anniversary, unveiling the VelociRaptor 1200 F-250. Now that’s real Murican Muscle!

Based on the Ford F-250 Lariat, the anniversary model is powered by Ford’s range-topping 6.7-litre High Output turbo-diesel V8, producing 373kW and a substantial 1626Nm of torque. Production is capped at just 250 units worldwide, with each example individually numbered and fitted with a dedicated 250th Anniversary fender vent plaque.

The VelociRaptor 1200 F-250 will make its public debut at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show in Las Vegas from February 3–6.

Hennessey has significantly upgraded the F-250’s off-road hardware, fitting a five-inch BDS suspension lift, FOX 2.5 adjustable coilover shocks, lightweight 18-inch wheels and 37-inch off-road tyres.

Exterior changes include an extensive carbon fibre package featuring a functional vented bonnet, fender vents, flares, mirror caps and tailgate appliqué, along with stainless-steel front and rear bumpers and additional LED lighting.

Inside, the standard seats are replaced with bespoke Hennessey items trimmed in black leather and Alcantara with red contrast stitching, while each cabin features a serialised plaque denoting its place in the limited run.

The VelociRaptor upgrade package adds US$54,500 to the cost of a standard F-250 Lariat and is backed by Hennessey’s three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. The model will be available exclusively through Hennessey-authorised Ford dealers in the United States.

With its strictly limited production and anniversary-specific detailing, Hennessey says the VelociRaptor 1200 F-250 is set to become one of its most collectible heavy-duty truck builds to date. America! Freedom is the only way, yeah.
