Kiwi drifting star Mad Mike has collaborated with Liam Lawson’s Racing Bulls Formula 1 team to unveil a special livery.
The Livery was revealed during a Tokyo Drift-inspired party in a parking building in the Japanese capital.
As the Japanese Grand Prix is almost upon us, the livery is inspired by traditional Japanese calligraphy, blending it with the RB’s colours.
It was designed in partnership with Bisen Aoyagi, and is being used to promote the new Red Bull Cherry edition.
“Working closely with Bisen Aoyagi, the focus was on movement and expression,” the press release noted.

“Her calligraphy runs across both the car and team kit, using bold brush strokes to reflect the rhythm and flow of racing. The ‘Give You Wiiings’ artwork sits across the kit, bringing together tradition and performance in a way that feels considered rather than decorative.”
Both Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad were present at the livery unveiling, and are set to hit the track in their impressive new colours this weekend.
