Ford announces pricing for updated Ranger
Words: Andrew Sluys
Ford New Zealand has announced local pricing for the updated Ranger, which brings subtle styling and tech updates to the 2026 model.
Arguably the biggest change is the 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6 that’s now available across more of the range.

For the lower-spec models that have retained the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, this mill gets a timing chain, which addresses the wet belt issues of the old bi-turbo engine.
The ten-speed automatic transmission is now standard across all Ranger models.
Though the aesthetic changes are subtle, the most noticeable difference are the chrome accents that have been replaced with either gloss or matte black.

For the majority of models, the interior has remained unchanged, apart from the Ranger XL, which gains a 12-inch infotainment display and second-row air vents.
“As announced last November, there are a number of enhancements to New Zealand’s favourite ute, and today with pricing confirmed, Kiwis can lock in added Ranger value,” said Mathew Slade, Marketing Director, Ford New Zealand.
