Ford New Zealand has launched the Ford Pro Convertor (FPC) program, a new initiative connecting commercial customers with certified vehicle conversion specialists across the country.
Utilities, construction, emergency services, forestry, and recreational overlanding are among the sectors Ford has identified as needing heavy-duty, specialised modifications — and the FPC program aims to make sourcing those builds easier and more reliable.
To earn FPC certification, conversion specialists must pass an audit by Ford engineers, with their designs, build quality, and installation methods all assessed against Ford standards. Once certified, each specialist is approved for specific segments and modification types.
Warranty coverage is a selling point. The certified converter’s warranty aligns with Ford’s new vehicle warranty, meaning buyers get protection across the whole vehicle.
“Every business is unique, and our commercial customers require vehicles that are tailored precisely to their operational needs without compromising on safety, quality, or reliability,” says Ford New Zealand Managing Director Annaliese Atina.
“The Ford Pro Convertor program is designed to deliver exactly that — providing Kiwi businesses with bespoke, work-ready solutions and the ultimate peace of mind, so they can focus on what they do best,” she added.
The FPC program sits alongside Ford’s existing Genuine Accessories and Dealer-fit Licensed Accessories range, focusing specifically on complex, bespoke, industry-specific conversions.
