A heavily modified 1978 Ford Escort once owned by Ken Block has emerged for sale online through Bring a Trailer.
The Mk2 was initially built for Gymkhana Grid, and then made several appearances across various Hoonigan videos before it was sold.
Purchased as a right-hand drive car, the Escort was converted to left-hand drive, and underwent a series of body modifications to make everything wider.
The original engine was swapped out for a 2.5 liter Millington Diamond twin-cam engine, which redlines at 9,000rpm.
With over 245kW and 334Nm, this is a fair whack above the original outputs, allowing for the tyre-shredding action.
A six-speed sequential transmission sends power to the rear wheels, which was an outlier in Ken’s all-wheel drive garage.
With a completely stripped interior, the car tips the scales at just 906kg.
